FMI’s Stakeholder Summit

The Finnish Meteorological Institute’s (FMI) stakeholder summit will be held at the FMI’s Arctic Space Centre in Sodankylä on Monday, 18th of September. The summit will present the centre’s operational activities and highlight its international role. In discussion with the present stakeholders, the summit will explore how the infrastructure, research and services of the Arctic Space Centre can continue to meet the information needs of FMI’s partners and stakeholders. The event will also celebrate the enlargement of Sodankylä’s Satellite Ground Station and Finland’s EU SST (European Union´s Space Surveillance and Tracking partnership) membership. The event further marks a significant milestone upon completing 15 years of Satellite Ground Station development in Sodankylä.
