The visit of the ESA Director of Science in Helsinki on 10 January 2024

The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment organizes an event for Finnish science and space researchers to meet Ms. Carole Mundell, the Director of Science at the European Space Agency, who will be visiting Helsinki on January 10, 2024. The session is a public event inviting participants from ESA’s scientific programmes, as well as Finnish researchers.

The ESA Director of Science Prof. Carole Mundell will present opportunities in ESA Science Programme followed by brief presentations on how we in Finland do science in the ESA programme. The event will end with discussion on themes targeted to support interests of Finnish researchers in the ESA Science Programme and how to engage best the scientific community and young professionals to ESA activities.  

The event will be organized at the Government's Conference Centre, Eteläesplanadi 4. Up to 40 participants can register on-site and the event will be streamed. A link will be sent to registrants before the event.

Moderator of the event is Ms. Emilia Kilpua, Professor at the University of Helsinki. The language of the event is English.
