GeoForum Summit in Dipoli, Espoo

GeoForum Summit is an annual event that brings together geospatial experts, top professionals, and individuals working with geospatial data across various sectors in Finland, including students.

Traditionally the event has also highlighted the latest developments in geospatial technology, science and research. For this reason, geospatial space tech is also taking the main stage this year. Finland’s leading event for the geospatial community will be held on 21-22 October 2025 in Dipoli, Espoo.

The space and geospatial sectors are deeply interconnected: satellite-generated data forms a cornerstone of modern geospatial information. Remote sensing, positioning services, and satellite imaging provide real-time insights into land use, climate change, and infrastructure. In Finland, the space industry has grown significantly, further strengthening this connection.

Advancements in space technology are enabling increasingly precise and accessible geospatial services. In turn, the geospatial sector refines space-derived data to support decision-making and sustainable development.

During the two-day event attendees will hear several presentations about space topics, including the story for first Finnish satellites, what new the updated Finnish space strategy is bringing up and what kind of new solutions the latest space startups are bringing to the geospatial industry.
