Respond to the survey and join the joint and rapidly developing space ecosystem of Finland, Sweden and Norway

The AuroraSpace project, implemented jointly by Finnish, Swedish and Norwegian universities and research institutes, aims to strengthen the competitiveness of space sector companies by developing education, training and coaching in the sector and by promoting the creation of a cross-border innovation ecosystem. A project partly funded by the EU's Interreg Aurora Programme has published a survey aimed at space economy actors in Finland, Sweden and Norway. The survey aims to chart the overall competence and objectives of the space sector and the needs of companies. The aim of the survey is to develop a more functional ecosystem for companies, enabling the utilisation of the growth potential of the space economy as a whole in these three Nordic countries.

The companies that responded to the survey have the opportunity to express their views on the state and future prospects of the space economy and to gain unique visibility in the extensive presentation of space economy companies in the Nordic countries. This visibility may open up new doors for partnerships and opportunities for cooperation with other actors in the sector. Based on the data collected through the survey, we will promote the development of the ecosystem to better meet the needs of companies and support sustainable growth in accordance with the space strategy.

Based on the companies' responses, a list of companies in the Nordic space sector, attached to the map template, will be built on the http://www.auroraspace.eu/. Companies on this list can be searched and sorted with the search function based on the space segment in which they are currently operating (e.g. EO, PNT, SatCOM), their future plans or the segment in which they wish to cooperate. The intention is to open the list of enterprises during 2024 and it will be supplemented when new enterprises join.

We will encourage all space-based companies: by responding, you will improve their visibility and create new connections in the Nordic space economy ecosystem.

Please respond to the survey and ensure your company's position at the forefront of space economy!

Further information about the survey is available from Mikko Punnala, Doctoral Researcher at the University of Vaasa.
