SG[NORDIC-BALTIC] 2026 – Young space professionals meet in Helsinki
SG[NORDIC-BALTIC] 2026 will bring together young space professionals and students on January 19 at Dynamicum. The event, hosted by the Finnish Meteorological Institute, is not only a conference, but also a meeting place where new ideas, partnerships and innovations are born.
The space sector and the utilisation of space are growing at an incredible rate, and the Nordic and Baltic countries are increasingly involved in the development. SG[NORDIC-BALTIC] 2026 offers young professionals and students the opportunity to participate in discussions that shape and influence the space strategy of Northern Europe and the sustainable use of space. The event is intended for people aged 18-35 interested in the space sector who want to network, learn and exert influence.
Inspiration and practical activities
The programme of the day has been built so that it combines so-called keynote speeches, panel discussions and practical hackathons into a single entity. Participants will be able to solve real challenges related to the use of space technology and data. Coffee breaks and dinner offer valuable moments for networking, as the best ideas are often born in informal discussions.
In collaboration with the Winter Satellite Workshop
The event will be held in parallel with the Winter Satellite Workshop 2026 in Otaniemi (20.-24. January 2026), which is the largest space event in the Nordic and Baltic countries. This will also provide the SG[NORDIC-BALTIC] 2026 participants with the opportunity to see a broader picture of what is happening in Northern Europe and how different actors are working together.
