The space economy is a major growth sector, and the Fundamentals of Space Economy course is an excellent way to jump in - to learn how satellites, space-based data and related innovations are transforming society and creating new business opportunities.

This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the rapidly evolving space economy. Based on the EU Space Academy modules, it explores the fundamentals of GNSS, Earth observation, space situational awareness, satellite communication, cybersecurity, entrepreneurship, regulation, and innovation ecosystems in the EU context. Students will gain both technical and strategic insights into the opportunities emerging from space-based services and data.

The course brings together insights from real-world startups and policymakers. Excellent opportunity for those considering careers or ventures in the space domain or are interested in space-based data with applications.

Persons without a valid study right at a Finnish university or university of applied sciences have preference to this course.
